Cripes...the pipes in the boiler room were like turning on and off valves deep in the belly of a 19th century steamer. Ancient, rusted, creaky, and the water never actually stops trickling out. We turned on every other faucet in the house in order to limit the red rusty slime-water flow coming out of the shower faucet while we made the swap. All better now!
